We've gathered some of the most common questions that we get asked about Due North. If you don’t find your answer here, reach out and a Due North team member will get back to you shortly.
Due North was created to help the unemployed and underemployed population of North Tulsa. The program assists North Tulsa residents in professional development, soft skills, educational/training opportunities, and other employment opportunities all for free.
After attaining improved career-building skills, we connect North Tulsans we’ve served with exceptional, local employers. The training offered is designed to help North Tulsa residents gain meaningful employment that provides increased wages and benefits. Together, the end result is strengthened families, businesses and the community.
Due North is a nonprofit that’s both privately funded and funded by the State of Oklahoma. It’s entirely free to District 1 and 3 residents. All we ask is that you put in the work to succeed.
That’s okay! Head to this page to see if you live within Districts 1 or 3. If you are outside of our service area, we will work with you to find resources to help you.
The beginning services we provide are soft skills - things like resume writing, mock interviews, team building, and emotional intelligence.
From there, we help you identify the next steps in your career path. That could mean pursuing an in-demand certification in careers in transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, accounting or IT.
Our most common job-readiness workshop is Career Readiness Training (CRT). CRT is a week-long training that explains best interview practices and skills that are beneficial for job success and promotion.
We also offer workshops on topics that will help you succeed in the workplace such as dealing with difficult co-workers, communication and important conversations.
That’s okay! We’ll work with you and set the right goals for you. We want to start a conversation about your future.
All services from Due North are free to the resident. There are no additional fees to be a part of the program.
